Often, I would think of how long a relationship can last. Even if it ends, why did it ends? Is "I have no more feeling for you already" or "the feeling is fading", a good reason to end the relationship? If you are not sure of the feeling, why stead in the first place? Why not confirm the feeling and then get into relationship with that person?! Indeed, relationship takes two hands to clap. If you dun really want to or cannot commit in a particular relationship, then dun lead the person on! It isn't really fair to do that. If you dun like that person that much, say it to their face! YES! It would hurt their heart, but it is only for a few moments! Not as bad as you leading them into a relationship and let them leave with a broken heart! The aftermath of it either they keep thinking of the happy moments when the two of you are together or using other as substitute.
Another thing I abhor is using innocent party as a substitute, be it using them to forget about your ex-partner or using them to get comfort. I think, or should I say EVERYBODY, using a person as a substitute is a really ****** thing that you can ever do to a person. If you dun like that person at all yet he resemble your past girlfriend or boyfriend, there is still no point using them. Why must you use them?! As a stepping stone to forget your ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend? PLEASE! Are you such a loser? Do you have to go to the extent of using somebody to forget your ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend? It is already sad that you are nursing a heartbreak, but why must you break another person's heart? Do you know how sad it is for that person to find out that you dun like her/him at all?
